Students of ZUT Achieved Excellent Results in Model-construction Math Contests of 2012 for Undergraduates in China

 　　Recently, the organizing committee of model-construction math contests of 2012 for undergraduates in Henan Province has issued the notification of publicizing the results of model-construction math contests of 2012 for undergraduates in Henan Division and publicized the situations of the contests and the awards. ZUT dispatched 23 teams to attend the contest and won 3 second prizes nationwide, 6 first prizes and 7 third prizes in Henan divisions. This is the best result of ZUT in recent years.
The excellent results depend on university leaders’ serious attentions and cares, supports of the functional departments such as dean and students’ divisions as well as on the hard work of the leaders, teachers and students of school of science. During the contest, Cao Jian, vice president of ZUT, Li Huijie, director of the office of undergraduate educational administration, and Chen Jinhuan, deputy director extended their solicitudes to the students on the spot. Moreover, they sent gifts to the students and encouraged them to demonstrate style and skills in the contest. In the contest, many students have enhanced their math levels and deeply touched the charm and function of math in settling practical problems. Furthermore, they have comprehended the purpose of math model construction contest in China, i.e. one contest experience, lifelong benefits.
