                                                                   School of International Education 
     The School of International Education (SIE) was established in 2004 by Zhongyuan University of Technology to launch cooperative education programs with overseas universities. Since its foundation, SIE has been actively involved in the introduction of excellent teaching and education resources of its overseas partners under the instruction of Joint Management Committee of Sino-Foreign Cooperative Education Project with an aim to provide high-quality education services and fine teaching environments for students of this project. The aim of SIE is to develop talents with distinguishing features, who are armed with better English listening and speaking skills. At present, the number of students involved in the cooperative education project has amounted to 3729.
      In cooperation with University of Manchester (the United Kingdom), which ranks among the World Top 100 Universities, the SIE offers undergraduate programs of Textile Engineering, Marketing, Accountancy, and Artistic Design covering Costume Design, Decoration Design, and Environment Design. The cooperative education projects with UNITEC Institute of Technology (New Zealand) offer programs for junior college students who major in Construction Management, Automobile Manufacturing and Assembling Technology, and Photography and Video Technology.
      Students of the SIE are supposed to carry out the educational plan jointly made by Zhongyuan University of Technology and its overseas cooperators. They can get certificates issued by Zhongyuan University of Technology upon completion of the program. Moreover, students will be awarded bachelor’s degree upon meeting all the degree-granting requirements. In addition, students whose foreign language grade and academic level have met the requirements of the cooperative university can apply for further study overseas as exchange students under the program of “2+2” or “3+2”, or get promoted to be university students if the family can afford. They will be awarded foreign certificates and degrees upon the completion of programs and academic requirements of the cooperative university.
