Our University Won the Title of “Top Ten Colleges of National Photographic Education”

In current China, the largest competition of college students’ photography “2012 Fourth Chinese College Students’ Modern Photography Contest” has produced its results. Students from our university majoring in photography performed excellently, and, as a result, our university won the title “Top Ten Colleges of National Photographic Education”. Associate Professor Nan Zheng and Mr. Zhang Zhenya stood out from among the 179 college tutors of photography and were honored with top ten tutors.

This year’s Chinese college students’ modern photographic contest was co-hosted by Academy of Fine Arts of Tsinghua University, Modern Photography Website, Tencent, Shanghai Photograph, and Zhejiang Photographic Press. Tremendously, 738 colleges at home and abroad positively participated in this competition with the contestants reaching 4536. The sponsor received 30257 pieces of works of arts from domestic colleges, including Beijing Film Academy, Academy of Fine Arts of Tsinghua University, China Academy Arts, Nanjing Normal University, and overseas college students from America, South Korea, Thailand, Britain, Germany, Italy, and Macau.

   The works presented by our college were spoken highly of by professionals, and revealed the strength of photographic major and the status of our university in the photographic circles of national universities.
