A student from our university won the Champion of Asian Youth Wedding Fashion Designer Contest

The 3rd Asian Youth Wedding Fashion Designer Contest aims to enhance the Asian wedding design level, and applies the largest Asian wedding exhibition as a platform. More than 1000 competitive works were received from mainland of China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Australia, Japan, South Korea, Thailand, the Philippines and other Asian countries and regions. Mr. Deng Dazhi, famous Hong Kong fashion designer, and Miss Zhang Qixiu were invited to be examiners, working together with other professional judges to choose outstanding designers. All works of competition need not only focus on originality and fashion, but more on market. So it is undoubtedly a huge challenge for the contestants.

Ge Peixian’s competition clothing not only is novel in form and well-made with exquisite materials, but also combines perfectly fashion with market. In the design and production, the redesign of the fabrics is bold and original. She focuses on the hand-sewing and fabric innovation, more than 100-meter fabric used in the hem for the redesign, and a lot of handmade parts show the nobility and uniqueness of wedding dress. The competition work is independently accomplished by herself from the design, the choice of materials, style, production and post-accessories under the guidance of the teacher in fashion design studio. In the process of production, Ge actively communicated with the teachers of fashion design studio, and was aided by lower-grade schoolmates of the same studio, making her design ultimately perfect in the limited time.
